Poetry is dear. You need time to read it.
The speed of light is nothingto the speed of time.People, places, eventscareen out of blacknessand back in again.
Poetry by Louise Bogan attracts more interest every decade. Because that is as it should be, we encourage poets old and young to read Ms. Bogan's poetry. Her finest poems appear in "The Blue Estuaries." If you cannot find a copy send an e-mail and we'll find one for you.
TRANSFORMATION
for M.P.
She writes to fill the air with poems,
doesn't slow her pen when words
jump off the page or verses shake.
Her syncopated shake
flings commas, adverbs from her poems.
Nouns tap, verbs hum. Shaker-like words
endure. We feel the chorus of words
surround us with a transforming shake,
changing us and all our poems.
When words shake into poems we begin again.
